MARION CRAGLE

Marion May Davenport Cragle passed away on January 7, 2026, she was 93, Marion was born May 2,1932 in her parent’s home in Shickshinny, PA. Marion then married. She lived in San Diego which she became fond of. Then, she moved and lived in New York, had three boys and spent 43 years there. She worked as a seamstress at Stromberg and Carlson. Marion spent lots of time at her 3 boys’ events. She worked at Victor Central School as a cook. Later, she moved back to Pennsylvania where she was a cook at Bonham Rehab for 16 years. She belonged to Woodland Bible Church, where she came to love and worship her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Margaret Davenport, her brothers Dominic (Charlotte). and Harold (Evelyn), her son Michael and her granddaughter Amanda.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark Cragle (Teri), and Todd Cragle (Lisa). Her five grandchildren Michelle, Joshua (Mary), Michael (Kassi), Alyson (Anthony), and Zachary. Her seven great grandchildren Michaela, Melaney, Zander, Maxwell, Orin, Charleigh and soon to arrive Ella. Her sister Betty Lou Johnson (Bob) and her niece Pamela (Roe). Marion loved family and was gentle with everyone. She never spoke an unkind word about someone and was one of the most forgiving people. She loved the Lord and enjoyed singing hymns at church, watching David Jeremiah and Gunsmoke. She loved sharing home cooked meals and sitting around the table reminiscing with family and playing games. Nothing made her happier than having the whole family together. She sacrificed for her 3 boys so they could have more. Materialism was not important to her. She knew the greatest thing is love, as commanded by her Lord Jesus Christ. 

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 19, 2026 from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Rd. Hunlock Creek at 10:00 am with Pastor Gustine officiating.  Interment will follow in Sorber Cemetery.

Friends are invited to join the family Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm and Monday morning, from 9:30 am until time of service.
